PUBLICATION SCHEDULE AND CAPACITY
Publication Schedule and Guidelines
Regular Publication Cycle
The Southern Journal of Sciences operates on a biannual publishing schedule, releasing two issues per year:
- June Issue (First Semester)

Publication Capacity
To maintain our high standards of scientific rigor and editorial quality, we have established the following guidelines:
- Each regular issue has a maximum capacity of 100 manuscripts
- When this capacity is reached, submissions are automatically considered for subsequent issues

Special Issues
The journal occasionally publishes special thematic issues in addition to our regular publication cycle. These special editions:
- Are evaluated individually based on scientific merit and scope
- May follow different submission guidelines and schedules
- Will be announced through our official communication channels

Definition of the colors:
Red: Editorial working time, usually no new manuscripts are accepted for this issue. It means that if you submit your manuscript in the months marked with red, they will be moved for the next issue.
Yellow: There is a good possibility that the manuscript will be moved for the next issue. Depending on the volume of papers the Journal has received until this time, if you submit your manuscript in the months marked with yellow, it might be moved for the next issue.
Green: Open submission time. It means that if you submit your manuscript in the months marked with green, they will, depending on the success of the double-blind peer-review process, be published in the current issue.
